2 PC (Too Politically Correct)

I found it interesting that recently certain people in the comedy world were acknowledging the pressures associated with political correctness. As a result they have said they would no longer preform on college campuses because they were too Politically Correct. There was a time when many comedians poked fun at “us regular folk” who called “Political Correctness” an infringement on our 1st amendment rights. I guess now they know why we felt put upon. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think it hurts them like it does us, but these individuals are starting to understand just how restrictive political correctness is. They are just beginning to experience what I am often confronted with on a routine basis. I am frequently approached, sometimes rebuffed and annually warned (at least once a year by political correctness acolytes) that I should not say “this or do that” because it might offend or be a violation of someone’s idea of what the law might or might not state.

So let me take a moment and share some observations I’ve learned about (PC) Political Correctness:

Political Correctness causes more problems than it solves. I don’t see it solving issues but rather causing dissention, animosity and inaction on everyone’s part because we are always arguing about it.

Political Correctness upholds the equality of ideas but doesn’t practice what it preaches. It promotes that one person’s truth is no better than another person’s truth. If that is so, why do we have political correctness in the first place? That’s hypocritical. Practitioners condemn and attack those who do not adhere to their truth. Obviously they believe their truth is superior to other truth!

Political Correctness seeks inclusivity to the exclusion of all else. Its idea of diversity is that everyone be homogenized into their narrow spectrum of thought.

Political Correctness is condescending. PC devotees describe those who do not agree with them as bigoted, prejudiced, sexist and racist. It’s not true but they know the power of labeling, slander and branding.

Political Correctness by its nature seeks to control your ability think freely by controlling your speech. Don’t believe me? If you choose your words in a manner so as to not offend those who are PC, you’re being controlled because you won’t say what you think. How long before you will train yourself to not even think it?

Political Correctness will do anything necessary to further its agenda whether they are moral or immoral, ethical or unethical, honorable or dishonorable. “The ends do justify the means” to accomplish their goals.

Political Correctness persecutes others for not agreeing with them. This is the greatest appeal of being PC. It allows, and encourages its adherents to be judge, jury and executioner of those they label as bigoted, racist, sexist, and prejudicial. Ironically, most would not think themselves “hateful” regardless of their words or deeds.

Political Correctness fosters bullying. See above.

Political Correctness values effectiveness over rightness. It isn’t as important to be right as it is to silence your opposition.

Political Correctness has not been scientifically proven. Occasionally, PC people use science to validate their position. I know. I don’t understand it either?!

Political Correctness seeks to change the concepts of right and wrong. It advocates “relativism.” There is no such thing as truth because there are no “absolutes” in life unless, of course, if you disagree with them then you will be told that you are absolutely wrong.

Now let me give you some “bumper-sticker” advice that will benefit you concerning PC propaganda:

“BIBLICALLY CORRECT ALWAYS TRUMPS POLITICALLY CORRECT EVERYTIME!” God has never been wrong, nor will He.

“TRUTH IS ALWAYS TRUTH.” It’s not relative to anything that’s what makes it absolutely reliable.

“POLITICALLY INCORRECT DOESN’T MAKE YOU WRONG

IT JUST MEANS YOU CAN TO THINK INDEPENDENTLY”

“FACTS ARE NOT THEORIES AND THEORIES ARE NOT FACTS;

DON’T CONFUSE THE TWO OR YOU WON’T BE CONFUSED”

REMEMBER, THERE IS A REASON THE WORD FICTION USUALLY FOLLOWS THE WORD SCIENCE. “Scientific Fact” is a misnomer because science uses theories which are speculations, which are ideas that have not been proven, which are usually made up by someone (aka fiction) and remains that way unless it has been validated, verified and proven and then it is just becomes a fact.

“STAND UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT, EVEN IF YOU’RE ALL BY YOURSELF. IF YOU DON’T WHO WILL?

“GIVING IN IS GIVING UP.”

Voltaire profoundly stated “to learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.”
