About Us

BELIEFSSTAFF
<a id="beliefs"></a>
In September 1953 Jackson Avenue Baptist Church embarked on a journey to accomplish their portion of the Great Commission here in Lovington. What started out as a small mission by First Baptist Church later grew into a larger congregation than the founding church.

Throughout the decades we have experienced many joys and struggles but we have touched the lives of thousands of people with the Gospel through our ministries and outreach efforts. As we continue on our journey we invite you to come and join us as we go…

Our mission is the same one given to the disciples on a Judean hilltop 2000 years ago.

“As you go…make disciples…”

Share, Train, Grow & Mature, Repeat. We share with everyone that the only way to be saved is to believe in Jesus Christ. Next we teach those who have believed to tell what they have experienced. Then we are to grow and mature every believer by showing them to observe and obey the ways of Christ.

(Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, and Acts 1:8)

Welcome From the Pastor

Dave Rowser

I have been the pastor of Jackson Avenue Baptist Church since May 2008.  It has been my joy to serve with a body of believers who love God and have a desire to serve others.  My life is dedicated to leading my people, feeding them and helping them to grow spiritually so they can be the leaders that God has called them to be.

As a pastor, I view myself as an information kiosk to answer life’s questions, give helpful direction and show spiritual truth to my congregation and our community.

As a part of this body of believers, I walk the road of life with our congregation, sharing in their hurts and struggles, their joys and triumphs.

I would like to encourage you to take the next step and visit us at our church.
